It’s hard to believe that the first Toystory film arrived in our cinemas 15 years ago. The film has been such a great success and is loved by adults and children alike. The original film released in 1995 was the highest grossing film of that year, and the sequel did just as well, becoming the highest grossing film of 1999.
This year, the third film is set to be another great success. One difference however, is that the latest release will be shown in 3D. The film makers however do state that this 3D introduction to Toystory is very low key compared to films such as Avatar. This was because they did not want to distract from the characters that everybody knows and loves.
The third film sees Andy preparing to go off to college, with the toys fearing that they we will packed up and forgotten about, or worse still, thrown in the bin. The film is sure to be a big success, and I for one can’t wait to see it.
Adrian Chiles left the BBC back in April this year as he was unhappy with changes to the format of the One Show. At the time it was rumoured that Chiles had tried to persuade his co-presenter Bleakley to move over to ITV with him and now it appears that this is the case. After being unable to make a decision about whether to stay with the One Show, the BBC withdrew their offer to Bleakley and she has now agreed to a three year deal with ITV, which will see her paired back up with Chiles to present a breakfast show. She will also be involved in presenting some prime time entertainment shows.
We often hear of robberies on the news, they are an unfortunate occurrence of day-to-day life. Mostly however we associate them with the younger generations. Not so it seems in Scotland. Two pensioners have just been charged with steeling £2,000 in cash and other items from a shop in Glasgow.
Before the jokes start, they did not did not steal slippers from M&S or pretend their walking sticks were guns. They actually committed the crime knowingly and willingly. One man distracted staff while the other stole the goods. Police later recovered cash and goods from the man’s house.
Sentencing has been deferred and the men have now been released on bail.
